Ahn Hyo Seop opened up about what it was like to work with superstar Lee Min Ho on their upcoming fantasy action blockbuster, Omniscient Reader: The Prophet .

Based on the hit web novel that has racked up over 200 million views, Omniscient Reader: The Prophet is set in a world where a long-running web novel suddenly becomes reality on the day its final chapter is published. The story follows an ordinary office worker, Kim Dok Ja, as he fights to survive in this newly collapsed world alongside the novel’s original protagonist, Yoo Joong-hyuk, and other characters from the story.

Speaking about his chemistry with Lee Min Ho, Ahn Hyo Seop reflected on how surreal the experience was.

“When I was a student in Canada, I’d watch Lee Min Ho on TV all the time,” Ahn Hyo seop said. “He’s someone who has stayed at the top of his game for years, and that’s exactly who Yoo Joong Hyuk is to Kim Dok Ja. That dynamic actually helped my performance. Whenever Yoo Joong Hyuk or Jung Hee Won showed up in a scene, I would approach it like a reader seeing a celebrity. Yoo Joong Hyuk had the most commanding presence of them all.”

Ahn added that seeing himself on a poster with Lee Min Ho still feels like a dream. “He was my celebrity. I didn’t have much time to think about it during filming, but looking back now, it’s amazing,” he said. “It brings up so many emotions. Lee Min-ho was so friendly on set that it didn’t feel like there was a 10-year age difference between us.”

He also opened up about the bond he formed with his fellow cast members, Chae Soo Bin, Nana, and Shin Seung Ho: “We all have somewhat introverted personalities, so we never forced it. We just naturally connected over time. We each had our own struggles, but we quietly cheered each other on. By the end, we felt like a true team.”

He then recalled a particularly memorable scene. “There was a scene we filmed in a temple on a 360-degree set,” he said. “It was during that shoot that our teamwork really started to shine for the first time. That’s when I first truly felt that chemistry with my co-stars.”

Ahn Hyo Seop praised his castmates for their professionalism.. “The people in our film didn’t just focus on their own characters; they always looked at the bigger picture. They were people who knew where they needed to stand out, so there was no need for concessions; each person performed their role with precision.”
