Song Ha Yoon is under renewed scrutiny as SBS’s investigative show Curious Story Y aired testimonies from additional alleged victims and a witness tied to her high school years.

While Song has firmly denied all claims of school violence, Friday’s broadcast featured interviews with three individuals: A, the first classmate to raise allegations; B, who claims to have been assaulted; and C, a peer who says they directly witnessed an incident.

According to B, Song and two others carried out a group assault that left him with injuries requiring four weeks of recovery. B further alleged the incident was widely known at the school and that Song was forced to transfer as a result. “It was such a major event that all our classmates knew,” he said.

Witness C recalled seeing Song approach A behind the school during lunch, accusing her of talking behind her back. “When A denied it, Song began striking her with an object like a neck pillow or plush toy,” the witness said. “She cursed, kept hitting with one hand, and wouldn’t stop even when people tried to intervene. A’s face turned red, and there was no chance to resist. It was shocking, since Song never lost her temper with close friends—it was like seeing the rumors come alive.”

Producers sought Song Ha Yoon’s comment, but her legal representative declined an interview. Instead, they issued a written statement denying the claims, insisting, “There is no record of a forced transfer.”

Attorney Kim Yong Soo, consulted by the program, explained that in the early 2000s, before South Korea enacted specific school violence laws, disciplinary actions were not always formally entered into student records. “The absence of a transfer record doesn’t necessarily mean school violence didn’t occur,” he said. He emphasized that even decades later, consistent and detailed testimony from witnesses remains credible: “If accounts are specific and not easily fabricated without direct experience, they can hold significant evidentiary weight.”
