As One R&B duo member Lee Min has passed away.
According to reports, Lee was found dead at her home on Tuesday afternoon. She was only 46 years old. Her death came unexpectedly and according to those around here she appeared happy, healthy, and well. Lee Min was still active and even released a new single titled “Happy Birthday” in June. She also appeared in Cantabile alongside Park Bo Gum.
A representative from her agency, Brand New Music, confirmed the shocking story to the Hankook Ilbo . “It is true that Lee Min has passed away. The police are currently investigating the exact circumstances and reasons for her death. The company is also still trying to understand the difficult situation.”
Not to be confused with the girl group AS1, Lee Min was a Korean American singer born in 1978 who debuted in 1999. She was part of the popular R&B duo alongside Krystal and they debuted with their first album Day by Day . The two charming ladies gained popularity with hit songs such as “Want and Resent,” “Day by Day,” “You’re Welcome” and “Do You Have to Be Sorry.”
An acquaintance commented on the news regarding her death saying, “She was a really positive person and good friend. I can’t believe she made a comeback after such a long time all for it to suddenly come to an end. She was having so much fun promoting.” Another friend commented, “She was working diligently and balancing her life as an instructor and singer. I even met her last week.” Netizens were shocked to see what happened and await further details.
