YG Entertainment’s chief producer Yang Hyun Suk has unveiled the company’s vision for its artists—TREASURE, BABYMONSTER and BLACKPINK —confirming a full-group return for BLACKPINK this November.

In a video posted to YouTube on August 18th, Yang first addressed TREASURE’s progress. “They recently marked their 5th anniversary. So Jung Hwan first appeared on ‘YG Treasure Box’ at 14, and now every member is an adult. They’ve officially entered their twenties,” he said. “They’ve become men. If their first five years were Act One, the album we’re releasing on September 1st marks the beginning of Act Two. It’s a retro-based project with four tracks—comfortable music you’ll want to keep playing.”

Turning to BABYMONSTER, Yang revealed a scheduling shift: “The album we planned to drop October 1st will now release on October 10th. The Chuseok holidays in October made release and distribution difficult. We also decided to keep ‘Hot Sauce’ as a special summer single instead of including it in the mini-album. The album will feature four new songs.”

The album’s title track will be “We Go Up.” Yang added, “Within just a year of debut, BABYMONSTER went on a U.S. tour and filled their venues. As a producer, I hope in three years they’ll be headlining stadiums. Next year’s songs are already 90% complete.” He also revealed the group’s first self-made content, Bemon House, following in the footsteps of BLACKPINK House, set to launch in September.

But it was news of BLACKPINK’s comeback that electrified fans worldwide. “The members and their producers are working hard. I’ve expressed my hope that an album will arrive in November. We’re doing everything we can to make sure fans will soon meet BLACKPINK’s new music,” Yang said, raising his fist in determination.
