Nearly six months have passed since Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu tragically passed away, but her husband DJ Koo remains a constant presence by her side—even in death.
On July 27th, Taiwanese outlet ETtoday reported that Koo continues to visit Hsu’s grave every single day. According to the report, a Chinese netizen shared a personal encounter on social media after heading to pay respects to the late actress.
The fan explained they went to Chinpaosan Cemetery to leave flowers, worried they might have trouble finding the grave. “But as I turned a corner, there was a man sitting right in front of a headstone,” they wrote. “As I got closer, I realized—it was DJ Koo.”
“He greeted me very politely and said, ‘Thank you for coming,’” the post continued. “Just seeing him there, you could feel the overwhelming sadness. Losing the love of your life so suddenly… it’s a kind of pain I can’t even imagine. Honestly, I’ve never seen a man who loved someone so deeply. I truly hope he can find peace.”
The netizen also uploaded a photo showing Koo quietly seated in front of Hsu’s tomb—a poignant image that left fans heartbroken.
Barbie Hsu passed away on February 2 at a hospital in Tokyo, Japan, while on a family trip. Following her death, Koo withdrew entirely from public life and suspended all his professional activities. Reports say he’s lost nearly 12kg (approx. 26 lbs) and spends his nights in tears, mourning the love of his life.
He now visits Chinpaosan Cemetery daily and has reportedly begun work on a memorial statue near her gravesite. There are even rumors that he’s been house-hunting near the cemetery in order to remain close to her.
