DJ Koo continues to mourn the loss of his wife, Barbie Hsu, with quiet devotion.
According to Taiwanese media and online communities on July 29th, Koo has been visiting Hsu’s gravesite every single day, even in the face of pouring rain and sweltering summer heat.
Photos shared online show a tender scene: in front of the black headstone sit a bouquet of pink flowers, a bottle of water, and a bowl of noodles—placed with care. Seated nearby on a folding chair, Koo is often seen reading a book or gazing at photos of Hsu on his tablet, reliving memories of their time together.
One detail, in particular, caught fans’ attention. Etched into the gravestone were the words “Remember Forever” in English, along with the Korean “Jun Jun”—the pet name Hsu affectionately called Koo during their time together.
Koo, dressed simply in a sleeveless tee, shorts, and sneakers, was also seen tidying up the area—arranging flowers, sitting silently before the engraved words, his head bowed in stillness. The images have left fans deeply touched by his quiet, unwavering love.
Their story traces back to 1998, when Koo and Hsu first dated. The pair split after about a year but reconnected over two decades later, after Hsu’s divorce in 2021. They rekindled their relationship and were legally married in 2022. Tragically, Barbie Hsu passed away in February during a family trip to Japan. The cause was reported as acute pneumonia following complications from the flu. She was 48.
