Episode 9 of SBS’s Dynamite Kiss , which aired on December 10th and hit a nationwide 6.4% rating (peaking at 7.5%), finally pushed its central romance past the breaking point—and straight into its first real kiss.
The episode also delivered a major romantic turning point. After discovering that Go Da Rim (played by Ahn Eun Jin ) was neither married nor a mother, Gong Ji Hyuk ( Jang Ki Yong ) finally stopped holding back—and confessed his feelings with a dramatic, “Don’t go. I don’t want to let you go,” before pulling her in for a kiss.
Leading up to that moment, Ji Hyuk had been torn after learning Da Rim’s real identity right before his engagement to Yoo Ha Young (Woo Davi). Though he tried to proceed with the engagement for his mother’s sake, his mother collapsed mid-ceremony, later revealed to be an act meant to push him toward his true happiness.
