Singer G.NA has broken her long silence, sharing a deeply personal message with fans for the first time in eight years.

On September 2nd, G.NA posted a lengthy letter to her Instagram, opening with: “I’ve carried this quietly for years. While working in Korea’s entertainment industry, I went through an experience that changed me deeply.”

She continued, “What hurt most wasn’t what happened—it was the silence. I disappeared not to hide, but to survive. But I’m not that scared girl anymore. I’m no longer defined by the past, but by what I choose to do now. I’ve healed, I’ve grown, and I’m reclaiming my voice.”

Addressing her fans directly, she added, “To my loyal fans who never stopped believing in me—thank you from the bottom of my heart. To those who walked away, I understand. And to anyone silenced by shame—your story isn’t over. How have you guys been lately? It’s been a long time.”

G.NA made her debut in 2010 with the single “I’ll Get Lost, You Go Your Way” and rose to fame with hits including “Black & White” and “Top Girl.” However, in 2016, she withdrew from the entertainment industry after being implicated in a prostitution case, receiving a fine.

At the time, she admitted in court that while she legally accepted the judgment, she did not agree that her actions constituted prostitution, saying she had been struggling financially and was encouraged by an acquaintance to meet someone. Following the case, she left Korea and moved to the United States.

Over the years, G.NA sporadically updated her fans via social media in 2017, 2021, and 2023. This latest post marks her first long-form statement in about 11 months, and the first time in eight years she has publicly opened up about what happened in the past.
