Annie has opened up about her heartfelt dream of becoming a singer as she prepares to debut as part of an idol group. She is also known as Moon Seo Yoon, the granddaughter of Lee Myung Hee, Executive Chairman of Shinsegae Group, and the eldest daughter of Shinsegae Chairwoman Chung Yoo Kyung.
ALLDAY PROJECT uploaded a video titled “ALLDAY PROJECT – ‘DAY 1’” on their YouTube channel on June 13th.
In the video, Annie shared, “When I was seven, I saw a performance of ‘Lollipop’ by 2NE1 and BIGBANG, and it opened up a whole new world for me. It was such a shock.” She recalled asking her mom, “What would you think if I became a singer?” to which her mom laughed and said, “Don’t be ridiculous.”
She continued, “Two or three years later, I told her again, ‘I really want to become a singer,’ and my mom said, ‘Are you serious? Absolutely not.’ It was heartbreaking.” She added, “Later, my mom told me, ‘If you get into college, I’ll help convince the family.’ So from that moment on, I gave up sleep and focused completely on preparing for the college entrance exam — and I got in. But then my mom admitted she didn’t think I’d actually get accepted. She wondered how I could possibly be studying when I was spending every day at the practice room.”
Annie added, “People doubted whether I was serious about this, so to prove my sincerity, I had to show a lot. Every day, I worked hard and gave it my all because even the smallest step toward debut was worth it,” she smiled.
Meanwhile, producer Teddy’s THE BLACK LABEL announced on June 9th that the five-member co-ed group ALLDAY PROJECT will debut on June 23rd. Along with Annie, the group includes Tarzzan, Bailey, Woochan and Youngseo.
