Go Min Si has publicly denied allegations of school bullying that have circulated online in recent months.
On August 30th, the actress released a statement via social media. “I’ve spent countless days trying to steady myself while waiting for the investigation results. I now believe it is my duty to share my stance for those who have been waiting,” she wrote.
Admitting to being a reckless teenager, she acknowledged her youthful mistakes but firmly rejected the claims. “I recognize and regret that I was a student who lived carelessly and acted out. But that does not mean I should be forced to carry false accusations,” she emphasized. “Let me be clear: I have never bullied anyone in school. Beyond an anonymous online post, there is no concrete evidence of any such incident.”
Go confirmed that she has submitted all evidence to investigators regarding the allegations. “Even if it takes time, I will not stop until the truth is revealed. School violence must be punished severely, but exploiting that issue maliciously only distorts the essence of the and further harms actual victims,” she added.
She also called attention to the dangers of unchecked rumors: “Baseless chatter online can completely destroy a person. The truth will come to light.”
The controversy dates back to May, when a post on an online community accused Go of school bullying. Though the name was specifically mentioned, the post pointed to details such as the actor’s former name, age, and school, effectively identifying her. The post also drew in Go’s close friend, whose personal details—including her shop and social media accounts—were exposed, further escalating the fallout.
