Hong Jin Kyung has officially divorced her husband after 22 years of marriage. The couple mutually decided to part ways and agreed to focus on their individual lives moving forward.
An entertainment industry insider told Dispatch , “There was no fault on either side.” The source added, “They lived happily together for 22 years and agreed to continue living well separately from here on out.”
Hong Jin Kyung married a businessman in 2003 after dating for five years. The couple welcomed their daughter, Ra El, in 2010.
Ra El, now an adult, is said to fully support her parents’ decision to divorce. Hong Jin Kyung consulted with her daughter before finalizing the divorce, and Ra El respected her parents’ choice.
Despite their legal separation, reports say Hong Jin Kyung and her ex-husband are maintaining a strong, friendly relationship. He still visits her home often, and both families, including their in-laws, continue to stay close.
Hong Jin Kyung first made her mark as a supermodel in 1993. Since then, she has expanded her career to include acting, entrepreneurship with her kimchi business, and YouTube, maintaining an active presence in various fields.
