Harbin has locked in a December release date and unveiled its first poster and teaser trailer.

Woo Min Ho, known for his acclaimed direction in The Man Standing Next (2020), returns after a four-year hiatus with Harbin . The film is set in 1909 and follows a tense chase between those heading to Harbin with a single mission and those pursuing them.

With the announcement of the December release, the film also released a poster and teaser featuring Hyun Bin in a never-before-seen role, portraying Ahn Jung Geun, the deputy commander of the Korean Independence Army. The poster showcases a completely new side of Hyun Bin , adding to the anticipation.

Harbin is set to have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival before its domestic release. The premiere will take place at Roy Thomson Hall on Sunday, September 8th, with Hyun Bin, Lee Dong Wook, and director Woo Min Ho in attendance to engage with international film fans. This marks a significant moment as a film about Korea’s colonial era is being featured at one of the “Big Four” international film festivals.

Produced by Hive Media Corp, known for The Spy Gone North and Deliver Us from Evil , and directed by Woo Min Ho, Harbin promises a powerful narrative and stylish direction. Following its world premiere in Toronto, the film will open in theaters this December.
