Im Soo Hyang confessed that she was treated for acute hepatitis for three months after drinking heavily while filming a YouTube show. She opened up about the incident on the September 24th episode of the talk show Radio Star.
The actress explained the incident happened after she was a guest on Shin Dong Yup’s popular drinking show, Zzanbro, last year to promote her drama Beauty and Mr. Romantic . During that candid, alcohol-fueled interview, she had opened up about various topics, including on-set romances. However, her co-star, Ji Hyun Woo, wasn’t drinking much because he had to film the next day.
“I ended up drinking a lot since I was the only remaining guest,” she explained on Radio Star. “I ended up drinking a bit too much because I thought I had to keep the show fun.”

The consequences were severe. “I took medication for three months after Zzanbro, ” she revealed. “My hangovers lasted a long time, and I vomited frequently. I couldn’t function normally for about a week. Now, I don’t drink at all while filming a drama.”
Im Soo Hyang said she was on Radio Star to clear up her public image, which she feels is inaccurate. “I’m not that big of a drinker in reality,” she laughed, joking that her reputation comes from a story her friend, singer Kang Min Kyung, once told about a night out.
