A podcast is recently going viral for all the wrong reasons.
With over 2.6 million views on X, formerly known as Twitter, the podcast titled Above The Influence features four hosts claiming they have seen BLACKPINK’s Jennie ‘s sex tape, IU sells her body and more.
The podcast features four influencers who gossip about celebrities and current influential news. On May 27th, a Tweet on X shared a clip of the podcast where host Esther describes the way the entertainment industry operates in Asia. She made bold claims about female idols and actresses, stating, “Every K-Pop idol has a price on their head.”
Fans reacted, saying, “IU just reportedly earned $30 million this year… why would she ruin her career and sell her body?” and “IU?? For just $500K? I hope her company sues you all.” However, the clip continued to paint other female figures in the Korean industry in a bad light, particularly BLACKPINK’s Jennie.
A male host then backed up the claims, saying, “My friend is the son of the BMW heir. He fxxked BLACKPINK’s Jennie and even showed me the video. He paid for her and showed me the sex video and that’s how I know it was real.” Esther then followed up, saying, “Did the video look good, though?” Fans are completely outraged by this topic and how the hosts are blatantly slandering these idols and accusing them of committing sexually explicit and illegal acts.
