Netflix has set November 7th for the global release of its new Korean series As You Stood By , unveiling a teaser poster and trailer ahead of launch.
Directed by Lee Jung Rim ( Revenant , VIP ), the series brings together Jeon So Nee, Lee Yoo Mi, Jang Seung Jo, and Lee Mu Saeng. The project already drew buzz before release, screening in the On Screen section of the 30th Busan International Film Festival.
As You Stood By follows two women who make a desperate decision to kill in order to escape lives they can no longer endure. The newly revealed teaser poster shows Eun Soo (Jeon So Nee) and Hee Soo (Lee Yoo Mi) framed as if staring at one another from different spaces, their resolute expressions paired with the tagline: “A desperate plot for fragile happiness.”

The trailer captures the women trapped in their own traumas. Eun Soo’s narration, “There are so many things I’ve avoided in my life,” plays over flashbacks to her violent father and a mother she could not protect. Meanwhile, Hee Soo—stuck in a hopeless marriage—despairs: “I tried confronting him. Tried running away. I always end up right back here.” When Eun Soo suggests, “Let’s kill him. Your husband,” the two enter into a chilling pact that drives the story forward.
Also introduced are Jin Pyo (Jang Seung Jo), Hee Soo’s domineering husband whose expensive gifts mask his oppressive nature, and So Baek (Lee Mu Saeng), whose enigmatic gaze suggests secrets of his own.
Telling the story of two women who choose the most desperate path in search of a normal life, As You Stood By launches worldwide on Netflix November 7th.
