A sweet moment with Ji Chang Wook is going viral—and fans are loving every second of it.
On July 22nd, a mom shared a post on X (formerly Twitter) about a sweet run-in with Ji Chang Wook, after he stepped in to help her out during a chaotic moment with her toddler. In her post, she shared a photo of her child along with the story: “He was throwing a tantrum again, refusing to get on the escalator, and I was sweating bullets trying to calm him down—when this man stepped in at the perfect moment and took my baby’s hand to help him down. Turns out it was Wookie oppa. He really saved me.”
She added hashtags like “Milk-toned Ji Chang Wook” and “Ji Chang Wook’s good deed,” revealing that the mystery man was none other than the actor himself.
Another user later regrammed the post and shared their own account: “I saw a kid crying at the top of the escalator and was about to step in when he (Ji Chang Wook), who was right behind me, said, ‘Come on, it’s not scary. You’re okay,’ and gently took the child’s hand to guide him down. He gave off total grown-man energy.”
Fans are speculating the moment took place at an airport escalator. Ji Chang Wook had just returned to Korea on July 21st after holding a fan meeting in Taipei the day before.
And he didn’t stop there—he headed straight from the airport to attend the VIP premiere of Omniscient Reader: The Prophet at Lotte Cinema World Tower in Seoul, reportedly without even changing his clothes.
Meanwhile, Ji Chang Wook is currently filming Netflix’s upcoming original series Scandal (working title), based on the 2003 film Untold Scandal . He stars as Jo Won, a man who doesn’t believe in love and prefers flings over feelings. The series also features Son Ye Jin and Nana.
