Kim Jong Kook has made it clear that he will not be revealing the identity of his bride-to-be.
On the August 31st episode of SBS’s Running Man , Kim spoke candidly about his upcoming wedding. When castmate Ji Suk Jin teased him for announcing his marriage so close to the ceremony—saying, “If you were born in another era, you’d be part of the independence movement for keeping things secret until the last moment”—Kim laughed and explained, “If I announced it earlier, you guys would probably hang up a banner.”
Yoo Jae Suk then joked, “So you won’t tell us here, but you’ll reveal her on ‘My Little Old Boy’ instead?” Kim firmly replied, “Absolutely not.” He added, “She’s someone you’d never know. She’s not in the entertainment industry.”
The banter even included Haha, who teased, “Wait, isn’t it Chaeyeon you’re marrying?” drawing laughter from the set.
Kim first shared the news with fans on August 18th via a handwritten letter posted to his official fan café, where he reflected, “I know it’s late, but thank god it’s happening. I’ll work hard to build a happy life.”
Kim Jong Kook will officially tie the knot with his non-celebrity fianceé on September 5th at a private venue in Seoul.
