Yesterday, Kim Soo Hyun finally spoke directly about the scandal and allegations regarding his alleged underage relationship with the late actress Kim Sae Ron .
During yesterday’s meeting, Kim Soo Hyun stated that the “messages were fabricated and made to make me look like a pedophile and a groomer.” Kim Soo Hyun further stated, “I had the messages thoroughly investigated by a verification agency and they concluded that the reliability of truth behind the evidence is low.”
Now, interest is pouring into the private company that allegedly analyzed the messages and sided with Kim Soo Hyun, stirring up distrust and controversy among the public. Some felt Kim Soo Hyun may have paid the data analysis company to take his side and Chinese netizens speculated that ChatGPT was even responsible for creating the speech given by Kim Soo Hyun yesterday.
Kim Soo Hyun Denies Underage Dating Accusations + Sues For 12 Billion Won in Damages
Kim Sae Ron’s bereaved family claimed that the two stars had been dating since 2015, when Kim Sae Ron was 15 and Kim Soo Hyun was 27, based on traces of Kim Sae Ron’s text messages and letters. However, Kim Soo Hyun said that the two had been dating since 2019 when she was an adult and all other evidence was false.
His public statement was met with cold reactions and disinterest. Some even considered him to be acting out the speech.
Kim Soo Hyun’s “verification agency that analyzed the KakaoTalk messages scientifically” is a private company, not goverment operated. Since it is not a National Forensics Service level analysis, the public cannot trust the reputation nor the results of a private source.
The agency that investigated the materials is called True Baum , a statement analysis center in Korea, and CEO Kim Mi Young has a doctorate in criminal psychology and has worked as a special investigation advisory committee member for the Prosecutors’ Office and is an expert on sexual violence at the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office.

The company was known for handling the ‘N Room’ case regarding sex criminal Cho Joo Bin. On SBS TV series Unanswered Questions , Kim Mi Young successfully analyzed Cho to be “an intelligent person in his mid-40s” just from analyzing his messages.
Reports by Kim Mi Young stated, “Kim Soo Hyun’s KakaoTalk analysis report stated that there was a “92% confidence level in the possibility that Kim Sae Ron’s KakaoTalk exchange in 2016 and 2018 was not Kim Soo Hyun and there is an 8% chance that the analysis is wrong.”
Kim Soo Hyun backed up his bold statement, saying, “Just as I went through the verification process for the KakaoTalk messages, I will go through the process of thoroughly verifying through the investigative agency everything that the bereaved family is putting forward as evidence. If the evidence that the bereaved family has is true, I will submit all the materials to the investigative agency and request that they be verified through legal procedures.”
