According to Netflix’s Tudum Global Top 10 chart released on Wednesday, the series recorded more than 4 million views within three days of its October 3rd premiere. The drama ranked No. 5 on Netflix’s Global Top 10 Non-English Series and currently holds the No. 1 spot in Korea. It has also broken into the Top 10 in 46 countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Brazil, the Czech Republic, Singapore, India, Hong Kong, Thailand, Egypt, and Morocco.
Viewers have quickly fallen under the show’s spell. Online reactions have ranged from tears to raves: “Started it thinking it was just a rom-com, ended up sobbing,” “Kim Woo Bin’s acting is on another level—total rediscovery,” and “The dialogue is pure gold—only Kim Eun Sook could write lines like these.”

A classic God Eun Sook’s romance comedy. At first, I was like “Huh?”, but it got more enjoyable as it went on. The love between Ga Young and Iblis was just insane (beyond words). The music was a bit off, but still bearable. Kim Woo Bin and Suzy’s visuals were stunning, and their acting was even more amazing. The relationships between Ga Young and her grandmother, and Ga Young and Min Ji were so heartwarming.”
