Girls’ Generation’s Kwon Yuri recently deleted her latest photos amidst controversy.
In response to the growing criticism, Yuri swiftly removed the photos.
Tetrapods, concrete structures used to prevent waves and tsunamis, were developed in France in 1949 and are widely used in coastal construction around the world. These structures can be 3 to 5 meters long and weigh over 70 tons each.
In 2022, South Korea’s Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries classified tetrapod structures as hazardous areas within ports, strictly prohibiting access. Violators can face fines of up to 1 million KRW (approximately 750 USD). The surface of tetrapods is smooth, and algae growth due to constant contact with seawater makes them slippery, posing a significant risk of accidents.
