Lee Seung Gi ‘s wife Lee Da In offered her own response to MC Mong.
On September 4th, the actress took to her Instagram to post a sharp message alongside a screenshot of a news article: “Why post a photo that’s more than a year old and stir things up now?”
The post came after MC Mong uploaded a group selfie the day before with the caption “Bam!!!” The picture featured him with Lee Seung Gi, Lee Da In, her sister Lee Yu Bi, and Cha Ga Won, the chairman of BPM Entertainment. Korean outlets quickly picked up the image, churning out coverage about the gathering.
However, as Lee Da In pointed out, the selfie wasn’t recent at all. She disclosed the photo’s metadata showing it was taken on July 18th, 2024, adding bluntly, “I just don’t understand.”

In response, MC Mong deleted the photo and expressed his frustration. “Mind your own business,” MC Mong retorted. “Whether I post a picture from a year ago or one that I just liked, [you should stop] before I grow to hate you even more. Do you think I’d do something like abandon my family, like you?”
In the past, MC Mong and Lee Seung Gi appeared together on the KBS 2TV variety show 2 Days & 1 Night. After a legal dispute with Hook Entertainment, Lee Seung Gi joined One Hundred Label’s Big Planet Made, becoming labelmates with the former rapper.
MC Mong, who has been under the spotlight in recent months, revealed back in July that he was battling severe depression and health issues. “It got to the point where making music became difficult. Don’t pay attention to the rumors floating around. I’ve chosen a path that will let me make music longer,” he wrote at the time, explaining that he had decided to step back, leave production work to Cha Ga Won, and focus on his health and studies abroad.
Lee Da In, meanwhile, married singer-actor Lee Seung Gi in April 2023. The couple welcomed a daughter in February 2024.
