Lee Si Young has found herself at the center of a controversy after posting photos that appeared to show her drinking alcohol during her second pregnancy . Seemingly aware of the growing online debate, Lee Si Young quickly moved to clarify the situation, stating that the beverages were “non-alcoholic.”
Lee posted several photos to her social media on July 29th with the caption, “A 5-hour limousine tour. Everything was prepared as a surprise. Thank you so, so much.”
The photos documented a luxurious limousine tour of New York, which she enjoyed with her son during their stay in the U.S. In the images, she can be seen opening a bottle resembling champagne, drinking from a wine glass, and eating pizza.
Lee Si Young shared detailed impressions of her New York tour, stating, “We toured every corner of New York by limousine. We visited Madison Square Park, went to SoHo, and drove through Greenwich Village. We also touched the Charging Bull on Wall Street, crossed the Brooklyn Bridge, and ate a whole pizza while gazing at the Manhattan view from Dumbo.”
The images of Lee with what looked like alcoholic beverages quickly ignited public debate, as consuming alcohol during pregnancy is strongly advised against. The situation drew heightened attention due to the public nature of her pregnancy; it was previously reported that her ex-husband had initially not consented to the embryo transfer. However, he has since stated that he will fulfill his responsibilities now that a child is on the way.
