Lee Si Young , currently pregnant with her second child, is facing online backlash after sharing a vacation video from her recent stay in the United States, particularly for allegedly filming strangers without consent and for her son’s behavior during the meal.
On August 6th, Lee took to Instagram to post a short clip from a restaurant near Long Island Beach, calling it “one of the most beautiful places to eat.”
However, the video soon sparked criticism. In addition to Lee and her son, the footage clearly showed the face of a woman seated at the next table—without any blurring. The camera angle appeared to focus more closely on the stranger than on Lee herself, and the woman could be seen glancing toward the lens with discomfort.
Lee also drew fire for her son’s behavior, who could be seen walking around the restaurant while eating. Viewers remarked, “Perfect view, but poor manners,” “This is exactly the type of family people want to avoid at restaurants,” and “Table manners are essential, especially when traveling abroad.”
This isn’t the first time Lee’s personal life has made headlines this year. In March, she announced her divorce from her businessman husband after eight years of marriage. Just four months later, she revealed she was pregnant with her second child—without her ex-husband’s consent. At the time, Lee stated, “Though he did not agree, I’ve accepted the full weight of this decision.”
Her ex-husband responded that while he hadn’t consented to the pregnancy, he would “take full responsibility.”
After wrapping up a month-long stay in the U.S., Lee Si Young is now back in Korea to prepare for the birth of her child.
