Netflix has officially announced TYGO , a new action blockbuster starring Ma Dong Seok, Lee Jin Wook, and Lisa—and set in the same universe as Chris Hemsworth’s global hit Extraction .
TYGO follows Tygo, a war-orphan-turned-mercenary who launches a dangerous rescue mission when his closest friend, Lia, is kidnapped by a criminal syndicate. The film introduces a new set of characters and villains within the expanding Extraction world.

Lee Jin Wook, from Netflix’s Squid Game and Sweet Home , plays crime boss Arman Choi, locking him into a high-tension showdown with Ma.

Global K-pop superstar Lisa makes her Korean film debut as Lia, Tygo’s teammate and childhood companion whose abduction sets the story in motion. After turning heads in The White Lotus Season 3, she now steps into her first action role.
The film is directed by Lee Sang Yong ( The Roundup , The Roundup: No Way Out ) with legendary action master Heo Myeong Haeng joining the team. Production is handled by Big Punch Pictures, AGBO ( Extraction , The Gray Man), Nova Film, and B&C Group.
Ma Dong Seok said, “I’m thrilled this project with AGBO is finally happening. ‘TYGO’ adds a uniquely Korean edge to the ‘Extraction’ universe.” Lee Jin Wook added, “As a fan of ‘Extraction,’ joining this world is a huge honor—especially alongside Ma Dong Seok and Lisa.” Lisa shared, “It’s an honor to join this film. Appearing in an action movie has always been my dream.”
AGBO’s Chief Creative Officer Angela Russo-Ostot said she’s excited to expand the Extraction universe through a Korean lens, calling the cast “legendary and globally beloved.”
With filming underway, TYGO is already shaping up to be one of Netflix’s most anticipated global action titles.
