Ma Dong Seok , aka Don Lee, has taken fans on a nostalgic journey through his early years up to his current stature as the quintessential muscle-bound action star of Korean cinema. On May 6th, the actor shared a short clip of his photos on his Instagram with the caption “When I was young,” showcasing his transformation.
The collection of images traces Ma Dong Seok’s physical evolution: from a charming 4-year-old to a beefy 17-year-old, through his late twenties, and into his thirties, culminating in his present formidable appearance.
Currently, Ma Dong Seok stars in the hit film The Roundup: Punishment , where he reprises his role as the monster detective Ma Seok Do. The film follows his character’s efforts to dismantle a massive online illegal gambling syndicate led by a villainous ex-special forces mercenary, Baek Chang Ki (Kim Mu Yeol), and a genius IT CEO, Jang Dong Cheol (Lee Dong Hwi). As of its 13th day in theaters, the action flick has surpassed eight million viewers, cementing its status as a blockbuster.
