Nam Yoon Su is looking back on the days when he and Cha Eun Woo were the dual heartthrobs of Hanlim Arts School.
On the August 5th episode of SBS’s Dolsing Fourmen , mixed martial arts fighter Choo Sung Hoon, actor Nam Yoon Su, and singer Park Ji Hyun joined as guests.
Host Lee Sang Min kicked things off by asking Nam about his “King Uija” nickname from his school days—meaning the most popular guy on campus. “Just how popular were you to earn that title?” he asked. Nam revealed, “Once, five people confessed to me all on the same day. I honestly thought of them as friends, but guess they didn’t feel the same way.”
However, his popularity didn’t stay the same after Cha Eun Woo transferred to the school.
Nam laughed, explaining, “Cha Eun Woo and I had completely different images. He was the ultimate pretty boy. At the time, he was already a celebrity, so he couldn’t come to school often. I think my friends liked me because I was there every day.”
Lee interpreted his words as, “Cha Eun Woo had that air of mystery, while you were the guy they knew they’d see tomorrow.” But co-host Tak Jae Hoon playfully accused Nam of “still refusing to admit defeat to Cha Eun Woo.” Nam quickly denied it, flustered but laughing, making for one of the night’s most charming moments.
