Netflix is moving ahead with Culinary Class Wars 2 , locking in a December release despite the ongoing controversies surrounding Paik Jong Won.
The announcement came during the Netflix Entertainment Festival 2025 held on September 2nd at JW Dongdaemun Marriott Hotel in Seoul, where a slate of upcoming variety titles was unveiled. Among those on the docket: Crime Scene Zero , Agents of Mystery 2 , Physical: Asia , Culinary Class Wars 2 , Three Idiots in Kenya , Lee Seo Jin’s Dalla Dalla (literal title), Single’s Inferno 5 , Better Late Than Single 2 , Kian’s Bizarre B&B 2 , and Yoo Jae Suk Camp (literal title).
The event drew star creators including Hwang Seul Woo, Jang Ho Gi, Kim Ye Seul, Kim Hak Min, Kim Jae Won, Jung Jong Yeon, Lee So Min, Kim No Eun, along with producer Yu Ki Hwan, who addressed the decision to push forward with the cooking competition series.
“The release has been set for December,” Yu said. “We thought carefully about how the controversy might affect not just one person but the many who poured their work into this show. There are 100 chefs and 300 crew members directly tied to this project. In the end, we felt it was best to release the show as planned and let viewers make the judgment themselves.”
