Queen of Tears capped its run with a heartwarming finale that saw Baek Hyun Woo (played by Kim Soo Hyun ) and Hong Hae In ( Kim Ji Won ) together happily ever after.
The episode scored a record-breaking average nationwide rating of 24.9%, peaking at 27.3%. This achievement not only secured the top spot in its time slot across all channels but also made it the most-viewed TV drama episode in tvN history, surpassing the numbers recorded by Crash Landing on You .
The heart-stopping finale of Queen of Tears opened with a frantic Baek Hyun Woo, injured from a car accident during his search for Hae In, speeding towards the family villa. Hae In was also on the move, determined to escape the clutches of Yoon Eun Seong ( Park Sung Hoon ). Fate intervened, and the star-crossed lovers reunited at the villa with a tearful embrace.
However, their reunion was cut short by a vengeful Eun Seong who chased after them. Eun Seong aimed his gun at Hae In, but Hyun Woo threw himself in front of the gun to save her.
