Disney Plus has just dropped the first trailer, poster and a September 26th premiere date for its epic new series, The Murky Stream .
The new visuals tease a dark and intense story set in Korea’s Joseon era. The teaser poster shows the three young leads—played by Rowoon, Shin Ye Eun and Park Seo Ham—standing defiant against an ink-splattered backdrop, symbolizing the corruption they’re up against. The tagline drives the point home: “It’s your fault for being born into such a messy world.”

The trailer expands on this, introducing a world where power has poisoned the nation, and three youths must fight for their own brand of justice. “Life is a savage dream. I will make them pay the price,” says Si Yool (played by Rowoon ) in the clip. The teaser highlights the story’s central conflict, contrasting the desperation of the common people with the ruthlessness of the ruling class as the three protagonists decide to take a stand.
The series showcases dramatic new roles for its rising stars and features a stacked supporting cast of veteran actors like Park Ji Hwan and Choi Gwi Hwa. Directed by Choo Chang Min of Land of Happiness , the show’s stunning visuals and intricate world-building are already on full display.
The Murky Stream will premiere exclusively on Disney Plus. The first three episodes will drop on Friday, September 26th, with two new episodes released weekly to complete the nine-episode series.
