Former Big Bang member Seungri is once again under scrutiny following allegations that he has been attempting to launch a new nightlife project in Cambodia reminiscent of the infamous Burning Sun scandal.

In the video, Oh said, “We’re getting tips that Seungri has been partying with senior figures from Cambodian crime compounds, essentially trying to create a second Burning Sun in Cambodia.”

Oh further alleged that Seungri was associating with individuals involved in money laundering, voice phishing scams, and casino-linked operations, adding that reports suggest he was exploring business opportunities tied to these networks. However, those plans may have stalled after key figures connected to the group were arrested and reportedly face extradition to China. “Would someone still want to financially back him? I don’t know,” Oh said.

According to the report, Seungri continues to benefit from name recognition in Southeast Asia as a former Big Bang member and has recently been traveling frequently between Cambodia and Thailand.

Seungri was identified as a central figure in the 2019 Burning Sun scandal and was later convicted on multiple charges, including arranging prostitution, violating foreign exchange laws, habitual gambling, and economic crimes. He was sentenced to one year and six months in prison and was released in February 2023. Since then, he has continued to draw criticism after being spotted at clubs and restaurants in Korea and abroad, often invoking his past ties to Big Bang.
