Son Ye Jin ‘s agency is pushing back against speculation that the actress deleted her personal Instagram account due to online harassment. In a statement on August 27th, her agency, MSTeam Entertainment, clarified that the actress “did not delete it herself.”
The statement comes after Son Ye Jin’s secondary Instagram account suddenly disappeared.
“The actress herself did not delete the account,” an agency representative told SPOTV News. “She also doesn’t know why it disappeared and is currently checking what went wrong.”
The agency is now looking into several possibilities for the account’s removal. “We are investigating various possibilities, including whether it was hacked or if it was automatically blocked by an AI, which has been happening recently,” the representative said. They added that they plan to restore the account once the cause is found, but it’s unclear how long that will take.
However, the agency’s statement suggests the incident is unrelated to the online controversy and is being treated as a technical or security issue.
Meanwhile, Son Ye Jin was seen departing from Incheon International Airport on the morning of the 27th. She is heading to the Venice International Film Festival, where her film No Other Choice is scheduled to screen.
