JTBC has set a September 5th premiere date for its upcoming Friday drama series, My Youth , starring Song Joong Ki and Chun Woo Hee. The network also shared the first photos from the show’s script reading, giving fans a sneak peek at the chemistry between the cast.
The first table read photos show the director, writer, and the full cast, including Song Joong Ki, Chun Woo Hee, Lee Joo Myoung, Seo Ji Hoon, Jin Kyung, and Jo Han Chul.

Song Joong Ki stars as Seon Woo Hae, a former child star turned florist, who lost his fame too quickly. After struggling through his twenties just to get by, he’s now built a stable life, though it’s shaped by past wounds.
Chun Woo Hee plays Sung Je Yeon, an ambitious young talent manager who also happens to be Seon Woo Hae’s first love. Living an ordinary life, she finds herself facing unresolved emotions when she reconnects with him.
The series also features a strong supporting cast. Lee Joo Myoung portrays Mo Tae Rin, another former child star with a quirky charm, whose character will explore a “womance” with the very different Sung Je Yeon. Seo Ji Hoon plays Kim Seok Ju, who is not only Mo Tae Rin’s first love but also Seon Woo Hae’s new brother, creating a subtle yet exciting dynamic between the main characters.
Jin Kyung portrays Kim Pil Du, the charismatic head of a leading entertainment agency and Kim Seok Ju’s mother, who will stop at nothing to gain more. Jo Han Chul plays Seon Woo Chan, a romantic poet and Song Joong Ki’s immature father. Yoon Byung Hee and Lee Bong Ryun transform into Lee Geon No, Song Joong Ki’s reliable ally, and Bang Han Na, a passionate management team leader, respectively.
The production team describes My Youth as a story about people who bloom again in a place where they thought everything had faded away. “Please look forward to the ‘Hwa Yang Yeon Hwa’ (the most beautiful moment in life) that our talented actors will bring to life,” they shared.
