Song Kang, Lee Jun Young and Jang Gyu Ri are set to strike a powerful chord in tvN’s upcoming youth drama Four Hands (literal title).
Four Hands is set at an elite arts high school reserved for musical prodigies and follows the friendship, love, rivalry, and growth of young geniuses bound together by music. The series promises a coming-of-age story driven by passion, competition, and emotional intensity. The drama brings together director Park Hyun Seok, known for Uncontrollably Fond and Stranger 2 and writer Shin Yi Won of Green Mothers’ Club .
Song Kang stars as Kang Bi Oh, a piano prodigy with refined looks and a flawless record. A perfectionist who never lets go of first place in either academics or performance, Kang Bi Oh combines natural talent with relentless discipline. Once hailed as a future star destined to dominate the world’s top three piano competitions, his musical world is shaken when a formidable rival suddenly appears.
That rival is Choi Jung Yo, another piano genius played by Lee Jun Young. Raised in difficult circumstances, Choi Jung Yo spent years denying his own talent. When he shows up out of nowhere at the prestigious Korean Arts High School, he comes face-to-face with the piano prodigy who once made his heart race.
Jang Gyu Ri plays Hong Jae In, a viola major gifted with extraordinarily sensitive hearing. Able to instantly recognize beautiful melodies, Jae In is constantly searching for music that truly satisfies her ear. Finding it is rare, which is why she becomes a loyal friend and supporter of Kang Bi Oh, whose music has moved her since childhood.
Through the intense collisions and shared growth of Kang Bi Oh, Choi Jung Yo, and Hong Jae In, Four Hands aims to deliver a rush of emotion and adrenaline. What begins as rivalry evolves into friendship, romance quietly weaves its way in, and the trio’s music ultimately comes together in a powerful ensemble.
Four Hands premieres in the second half of the year on tvN.
