A new emotional romance film with an all-star ensemble is headed to Busan.

Seven O’Clock Breakfast Club for the Brokenhearted (working title), starring Suzy , Lee Jin Wook , Yoo Ji Tae , and Keum Sae Rok , has been officially invited to the Competition section of the 30th Busan International Film Festival, which will run from September 17th–26th.

This newly established Competition category showcases around 14 titles selected from across Asia that represent outstanding aesthetic achievement.

Based on Baek Young Ok’s 2012 novel of the same name, the film tells the story of a support group for the brokenhearted who gather at breakfasts to exchange “souvenirs of heartbreak” and slowly heal their wounds. Its fresh premise and empathetic narrative have already sparked wide curiosity.

Fronting the cast is Suzy as Sa Gang, a flight attendant still unable to let go after a breakup. Lee Jin Wook co-stars as Ji Hoon, a consultant struggling to survive the collapse of his long-term relationship. Yoo Ji Tae and Keum Sae Rok round out the ensemble as Jung Soo and Hyun Jung, characters also facing the final chapters of their romances, each bringing warmth and empathy to the narrative.

Seven O’Clock Breakfast Club for the Brokenhearted will have its premiere this September in Busan.
