The beloved cast of Reply 1988 has reunited to celebrate the show’s 10th anniversary.
Ahead of the special tvN variety program’s premiere on December 19th, Hyeri shared a group poster and teaser video on social media. The reunion features nearly the entire main cast that fueled the ‘Reply’ syndrome, including Sung Dong Il, Lee Il Hwa, Ra Mi Ran, Kim Sung Kyun, Ryu Hye Young, Go Kyung Pyo, Park Bo Gum , Ahn Jae Hong and Lee Dong Hwi.
The teaser video is filled with humor and heartwarming throwbacks. Ra Mi Ran jokes, “It’s incredibly hard to get everyone together.” Fans were delighted to see the stars recreate their iconic looks from a decade ago: Hyeri channeling Deok Sun’s energy, Park Bo Gum wearing a wig to become Taek again and Ra Mi Ran stealing the show in her signature “Cheetah Lady” leopard print.
However, fans quickly noticed a significant absence. Ryu Jun Yeol , who played the fan-favorite Jung Hwan, was missing from both the group photo and the main teaser.
According to reports, Ryu Jun Yeol participated only in pre-recorded content due to scheduling conflicts with his new Netflix series, The Rat , and could not attend the cast’s retreat.
Despite his absence in the main promo, a separate video posted on Channel fullmoon’s social media confirmed his involvement.

The clip, captioned “We gave Deok Seon a film camera as she went on a trip with the Ssangmundong family,” showed Ryu Jun Yeol sitting alongside his on-screen family members Ra Mi Ran, Kim Sung Kyun and Ahn Jae Hong, marking his first appearance as Jung Hwan in 10 years.
