Winners of 52nd Korea Broadcasting Awards Announced: Park Bo Gum, J - 1

The Korean Broadcasters Association has officially announced the winners for the 52nd Korea Broadcasting Awards, celebrating excellence in television and radio over the past year. The announcement revealed 18 individual honorees and 29 winning programs ahead of the prestigious awards ceremony scheduled for September 3rd.

The selections were made following a comprehensive review of 244 programs from 56 different broadcasters. In total, 29 works were recognized across 24 Program Award categories, and 18 individuals were honored in 20 Individual Award categories.

This year’s notable individual recipients include Lee Jun Hyuk (nominated by SBS) for Best Actor, Park Bo Gum (nominated by KBS) for Best Entertainer, J-Hope of BTS (nominated by MBC) for Best Singer, Choi Bul Am (nominated by KBS) for Host, Joo Si Eun (SBS) for Announcer, Yang Hee Eun (nominated by SBS) for Narration, Song Yeon Hwa (MBC) for the Producer Award, and Seo Jun (EBS) for the Achievement Award. Alongside these individual honorees, 29 different programs were also selected.

Notably, this year’s Best Actor, Best Entertainer, and Best Singer awards incorporated 30% viewer voting in addition to judging panel evaluations, adding a measure of public sentiment to the results.

Established in 1973, the Korea Broadcasting Awards is an annual ceremony hosted by the Korean Broadcasters Association. It seeks to reconfirm and reflect upon the public value of terrestrial broadcasting in an era of intense media competition by recognizing outstanding broadcast programs and personalities.

This year’s ceremony will be aired live on SBS from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM KST on September 3rd.
