The 39th Golden Disc Awards took place on January 4th and 5th at the PayPay Dome in Fukuoka under the theme “Coexistence, Connection, and Expansion.” The Grand Prizes went to SEVENTEEN for Album of the Year and aespa for Digital Song of the Year. Both groups also won Main Awards, earning two trophies each.
SEVENTEEN won Album of the Year for their album “SPILL THE FEELS” at the Golden Disc Awards. 1 This marks their second consecutive win in this category and is a special achievement as they celebrate their 10th debut anniversary. aespa took home the Digital Song of the Year award, showcasing their rapid rise to the top of the K-Pop industry just four years after their debut.
The winners of the 39th Golden Disc Awards were decided based on a mix of expert evaluations (40%) and Circle Chart data on digital streams and album sales (60%). Eligible works were those released from November 2023 to November 2024, with sales counted until late November 2024.
