South Korean actor Yoo Ah In has been questioned by police in connection with allegations of sexual assault. According to the Yongsan Police Station, Yoo was summoned for questioning on August 28th for approximately an hour and a half.
The complainant, a 30-year-old man, alleges that he was sexually assaulted by Yoo while sleeping in a residence in Yongsan-gu last month. The victim reported the incident to the police after waking up and realizing what had happened.
Yoo’s legal representative, Bang Jeong Hyeon, has denied the allegations. “The accusation related to Yoo Ah In is not true,” and “We ask that you refrain from unnecessary speculation regarding his personal life,” the lawyer said.
It’s worth noting that Yoo is currently facing trial on separate charges of illegal drug use. The police are investigating the possibility that he may have been under the influence of drugs at the time of the alleged assault.
