As tvN’s weekend drama Bon Appétit, Your Majesty continues to dominate buzz, ratings and global OTT rankings, its leads YoonA and Lee Chae Min revealed their favorite moments from the show.
In the series, YoonA plays Yeon Ji Young, a modern-day woman who time-slips into the past and lands in the royal kitchen overseen by tyrant-king Lee Heon (Lee Chae Min). Despite finding herself in a foreign world—and facing the era’s most feared ruler—Ji Young speaks her mind without hesitation, even putting arrogant palace chefs in their place. Later, when Heon confesses he wants her as his companion, Ji Young’s quiet realization that she no longer minds staying in this world marks a pivotal turning point in her journey.
YoonA shared, “If I had to pick moments that best show Ji Young’s character, it would be her first meeting with Heon, the scene where she stands up to the palace chefs, and the moment she hears his confession and thinks maybe she doesn’t need to go back,” adding, “They’re important because they show both the starting point of the story and how the characters’ relationship begins to take shape and grow.”
Lee Chae Min, meanwhile, singled out a moment that hasn’t even aired yet—episode 11. “It’s the scene that explains how Heon became who he is now,” he teased. “I poured the most energy and emotion into it.” With Heon currently balancing a blossoming romance with Ji Young while investigating the truth behind his mother’s death, fans are eager to see which explosive moment will finally shatter his emotions.
Bon Appétit, Your Majesty airs its penultimate episode (11) on September 27th, with the finale (12) following in the 28th.
