YoonA is keeping things professional, even as both of her recent projects underwent major casting shakeups.

In a recent interview for her new film Pretty Crazy , the singer-actress addressed the recent buzz surrounding the replacement of male leads in not one, but two of her high-profile projects.

Pretty Crazy follows Gil Goo ( Ahn Bo Hyun ), an unemployed young man who takes on a bizarre job watching over Seon Ji (YoonA), a woman who transforms into a demon at dawn.

The role of Gil Goo was originally cast with Kim Seon Ho, but the actor withdrew following a personal scandal. Ahn Bo Hyun later stepped in. A similar situation occurred with YoonA’s upcoming tvN drama Bon Appetit, Your Majesty , where Park Sung Hoon was replaced by Lee Chae Min after backlash over inappropriate content posted on social media.

When asked about the recasting, YoonA remained composed. “Personally, I was more focused on my own character,” she said. “These were projects where I spent a lot of time thinking about how to best bring my role to life. It just so happened that there were issues with my co-stars, but my main mindset was simply to focus on doing my job well.”

She added, “Thankfully, the actors who eventually joined brought so much to their roles. They suited the characters really well, and I’m genuinely grateful and happy for that.”

As a matter of fact, Ahn Bo Hyun himself briefly mentioned the casting change in his interview yesterday: “I actually found out about the casting change later, through my agency. I’ve always been a fan of the production company, and I really liked the script. I wanted to try something new.”

Pretty Crazy hits theaters August 13th.
